ဆေးရုံတက်ကုသနေတဲ့ ကိုဗစ်ကူးစက်လူနာတွေကို Gilead Sciences ကုမ္ပဏီထုတ် Remdesivir ဆေး ထိုးနှံပေးခြင်း မပြုဖို့ ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေးအဖွဲ့ WHO က အကြံပေးခဲ့တယ်လို့ သိရပါတယ်။ အမေရိကန်ဆေးဝါး စည်းကမ်းထိန်းသိမ်းရေးအဖွဲ့က Remdesivir ဆေးကို အရေးပေါ်သုံးစွဲဖို့ ခွင့်ပြုခဲ့ပြီး တစ်လအတွင်း ခုလို အကြံပြုခဲ့တာလည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

လက်ရှိအချိန်အတွင်း ဒီဆေးမှာ အသက်ရှင်သန်ဖို့ ဒါမှမဟုတ် အသက်ရှုလမ်းကြောင်း ပိုကောင်းအောင် တိုးတက်စေတဲ့ အထောက်အထား မတွေ့ရသေးပါဘူးလို့ Covid-19 ကုသမှု လမ်းညွှန်တွေကို ဦးဆောင်နေတဲ့ WHO ကျွမ်းကျင်သူများအဖွဲ့က BMJ ဆေးဘက်ဆိုင်ရာဂျာနယ်အတွင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့ပါတယ်။

ဒီအကြံပြုချက်ဟာ Gilead ဆေးအတွက် ထိုးနှက်ချက်တစ်ခု ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပြီး ကိုဗစ်လူနာတွေ နာလန်ထနိုင်တဲ့ အချိန် လျော့ချပေးနိုင်ကြောင်း လေ့လာမှုတစ်ခုက ဆိုထားစဉ် ဒီဆေးကို ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကုသရာမှာ အကျိုးရှိတဲ့ဆေးတစ်ခုအဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ခံထားရတာလည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အစောပိုင်း ကာကွယ်ဆေး မထွက်နိုင်သေးခင် ဒီဆေးကို ကိုဗစ်ကုသရေးမှာ ကျယ်ကျယ်ပြန့်ပြန့် အသုံးပြုခဲ့ကြပြီး အောက်တိုဘာလအစောပိုင်းက ရောဂါကူးစက်ခံရတဲ့ သမ္မတဒေါ်နယ်ထရမ့်ကို ကုသပေးခဲ့တဲ့ ဆေးတွေထဲက တစ်ခုလည်းဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Solidarity လို့ခေါ်တဲ့ WHO ကမကထပြုတဲ့ ကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာ စမ်းသပ်မှု ရလဒ်တွေအရ Remdesivir ဆေးဟာ သေဆုံးမှုကို လျော့ချပေးနိုင်ခြင်းမရှိကြောင်း ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့လက တွေ့ရှိခဲ့တာဖြစ်ပြီး ဆေးဝါးကျွမ်းကျင်သူတွေက သတိပေးခဲ့တာပါ။ ဒါ့အပြင် တခြားစစ်ဆေးမှု သုံးခုက အချက်အလက်တွေကို ပြန်လည် သုံးသပ်ခဲ့ပြီး လူနာတွေကို ထိုးပေးတဲ့အခါမှာလည်း ထိရောက်တဲ့ အကျိုးသက်ရောက်မှုတွေ မရှိဘူးလို့ ပြောပါတယ်။

WHO advises doctors not to use Remdesivir in the treatment of Kovis patients

 The World Health Organization (WHO) has advised Gilead Sciences not to give Remdesivir injections to hospitalized patients infected with the virus.  The US Drug Enforcement Administration approved the emergency use of Remdesivir within a month.

 At present, there is no evidence that the drug has been shown to improve survival or improve respiratory function, the WHO team of experts leading the Covid-19 treatment guidelines told the BMJ medical journal.

 The suggestion comes as a boon to Gilead, and studies have shown that it could reduce the recovery time of Kovis patients, making it one of the most effective anti-viral drugs.  Prior to the advent of the vaccine, it was widely used in the treatment of Kovis and was one of the drugs used to treat President Donald Trump in early October.

 The results of a global trial sponsored by the World Health Organization (Solidarity) showed that Remdesivir did not reduce mortality, and medical experts warned.  In addition, three other tests reviewed the data and found no effect on injecting patients.
